The size of the gen-set (measured in kVA) should be adequate to supply your house and charge the batteries at the same time.
These systems do not need batteries and use either solar inverters or micro inverters and are connected to the public electricity grid. Any excess solar power that you generate is exported to the electricity grid and you usually get paid a feed-in-tariff (FiT) or credits for the energy you export.Batteries are able to be added to on-grid systems at a later stage if required. Excess solar energy runs through the meter, which calculates how much power you are either exporting or importing (purchasing).
Metering systems are only to measure the electricity being exported to the grid. In some stages ,meters measure all solar electricity produced by your system, and therefore your electricity will run through your meter before reaching the switchboard and not after it. In some changes the meter measures both production and export, and the consumer is charged (or credited) for net electricity used over a month or year period.

In a hybrid system once the solar power is used by the appliances in your property, any excess power will be sent to the battery bank. Once the battery bank is fully charged, it will stop receiving power from the solar system. The energy from the battery can then be discharged and used to power your home, usually during the peak evening period when the cost of electricity is typically at its highest.
Depending on how your hybrid system is set up and whether your utility allows it, once your batteries are fully charged excess solar power not required by your appliances can be exported to the grid via your meter. When your solar system is not in use, and if you have drained the usable power in your batteries your appliances will then start drawing power from the grid.

How Micro inverter works?
A solar micro-inverter is one of two types of inverters that can be used with a home solar system. Microinverters have several advantages over conventional inverters, called string inverters. Because the microinverter is connected to a single solar panel instead of a string of them, there are a number of benefits to this technology.
Because the microinverters are assigned individually to every panel, they convert the DC energy to AC right where it is produced; unlike string converters which are converting the energy at the end of a row of panels. This means there is no high voltage DC on your roof that could cause an electrical malfunction.
This independent functionally of the micro inverters also creates a more reliable system. There are no single points of failure. If one panel goes down, the rest will stay online producing energy at their maximum capacity. Also, the microinverters can be tracked remotely allowing for issues to be pinpointed and potentially resolved without a site visit.

On cloudy and rainy days, when the water is pumped from the bore well reduces(due to lesser intense sunlight), the requirement of water is also generally lesser.Apart from the major use of solar water pumps in irrigation purposes, these systems are also used for sanitation and drinking water purposes.
