Specialists in RoofTop Solutions

Solar Rooftop in for Homes, Apartments, Commercial, Industries, Schools & Hospitals. We provide customized solutions with the latest technology. Based on the site conditions it can be Solar On-Grid, Hybrid, Off-Grid, or Water Pump system. Customized solutions are designed for different types of a rooftop with different orientations too.

Off-Grid

Solar panels generate DC electricity and charge the batteries or energy storage equipment. When the sun is available, solar panels generate electricity and transmit to the battery bank. The battery is connected to an inverter which at the time of supply sends electricity to household equipment which runs on AC power.

On- Grid

On-Grid Solar PV System works with no batteries for storage in it. Different types of inverter can be used based on the situation of the site. If the solar energy produced exceeds the building loads, the surplus energy will be automatically exported to the TANGEDCO distribution network.

Hybrid Inverter

Modern hybrid systems combine solar and battery storage in one. Due to the decreasing cost of battery storage, systems that are already connected to the electricity grid can start taking advantage of battery storage as well. This means being able to store solar energy that is generated during the day and using it at night.

Water pump

Solar Water Pumps are systems that pump water from a water source depending on the intensity of sunlight falling on the solar panels. In this system, the light falling on the solar panels gets converted to electricity and in turn, this electricity runs a motor to pump water from a water body.

Micro Inverter

A solar micro-inverter is one of two types of inverters that can be used with a home solar system. Microinverters have several advanatages over conventional inverters, called string inverters. String inverters are connected to multiple solar panels in a row, or string, and converts all the incoming DC energy to usable AC energy.

Off - Grid

An off-grid system is not connected to the electricity grid and therefore requires battery storage. Off-grid solar systems must will generate enough power throughout the year and have enough battery capacity to meet the home’s requirements, even in the depths of monsoon when there is generally much less sunlight.

The high cost of batteries and off-grid inverters means off-grid systems are much more expensive than on-grid systems and so are usually only needed in more remote areas that are far from the electricity grid.

There are different types of off-grid systems: AC coupled system, in a DC coupled system power is first sent to the battery bank, then sent to your appliances.

The Battery Bank

Once solar power is used by the appliances in your property, any excess power will be sent to your battery bank Once the battery is full it will stop receiving power from the solar system. When your solar system is not working (night time or cloudy days), your appliances will draw power from the batteries.

Backup Generator.

For times of the year when the batteries are low on charge and the weather is very cloudy you will generally need a backup power source, such as a backup generator or gen-set. The size of the gen-set (measured in kVA) should be adequate to supply your house and charge the batteries at the same time.

On-Grid

These systems do not need batteries and use either solar inverters or micro inverters and are connected to the public electricity grid. Any excess solar power that you generate is exported to the electricity grid and you usually get paid a feed-in-tariff (FiT) or credits for the energy you export.Batteries are able to be added to on-grid systems at a later stage if required. The Tesla Power wall 2 is a popular AC battery system which can be added to an existing solar system. In an on-grid system, this is what happens after electricity reaches the switchboard:

The Meter

Excess solar energy runs through the meter, which calculates how much power you are either exporting or importing (purchasing).

Metering System

Metering systems are only to measure the electricity being exported to the grid. In some stages ,meters measure all solar electricity produced by your system, and therefore your electricity will run through your meter before reaching the switchboard and not after it. In some changes   the meter measures both production and export, and the consumer is charged (or credited) for net electricity used over a month or year period.

The Electricity Grid

Electricity that is sent to the grid from your solar system.. When your solar system is not operating, or you are using more electricity than your system is producing, you will start importing or consuming electricity from the grid

When the stored energy is depleted, the grid is there as a back up, allowing consumers to have the best of both worlds. Hybrid Systems are also able to charge the batteries using cheap off-peak electricity (usually after midnight to 6 am).

The Battery Bank

In a hybrid system once the solar power is used by the appliances in your property, any excess power will be sent to the battery bank. Once the battery bank is fully charged, it will stop receiving power from the solar system. The energy from the battery can then be discharged and used to power your home, usually during the peak evening period when the cost of electricity is typically at its highest.

The Meter and Electricity Grid

Depending on how your hybrid system is set up and whether your utility allows it, once your batteries are fully charged excess solar power not required by your appliances can be exported to the grid via your meter. When your solar system is not in use, and if you have drained the usable power in your batteries your appliances will then start drawing power from the grid.

Micro Inverter

A device used with solar arrays to convert the energy that is generated (direct current) to usable electricity for a home (alternating current). Each micro-inverter is connected to a single solar panel for maximum control and reliability.

How Micro inverter works?
A solar micro-inverter is one of two types of inverters that can be used with a home solar system. Microinverters have several advantages over conventional inverters, called string inverters. String inverters are connected to multiple solar panels in a row, or string, and converts all the incoming DC energy to usable AC energy. Because the microinverter is connected to a single solar panel instead of a string of them, there are a number of benefits to this technology.

Because the microinverters are assigned individually to every panel, they convert the DC energy to AC right where it is produced; unlike string converters which are converting the energy at the end of a row of panels. This means there is no high voltage DC on your roof that could cause an electrical malfunction.

This independent functionally of the micro inverters also creates a more reliable system. There are no single points of failure. If one panel goes down, the rest will stay online producing energy at their maximum capacity. Also, the microinverters can be tracked remotely allowing for issues to be pinpointed and potentially resolved without a site visit.

Water Pump

Solar water pumps are like conventional water pumps except that they are run on Solar energy. It can be a completely independent system without any other source or can be backed by another source like a grid.Solar Water Pumps are systems that pump water from a water source depending on the intensity of sunlight falling on the solar panels. In this system, the light falling on the solar panels gets converted to electricity and in turn, this electricity runs a motor to pump water from a water body. With the increase in the intensity of the sunlight during daytime, the amount of electricity produced also increases. This in-turn increases the output of the water pump.

Broadly categorizing, solar water pumps can be of two type:
        1. DC pumps
        2. AC pumps

This classification is based on the type of pump that is used. In case of AC pumps, a variable frequency drive(VFD) needs to be used for converting the DC from the solar to AC for the pump’s requirement. The advantage of Solar water pumps is that they can work independent of the grid supply and these are complementary to the water requirement. On cloudy and rainy days, when the water is pumped from the bore well reduces(due to lesser intense sunlight), the requirement of water is also generally lesser.Apart from the major use of solar water pumps in irrigation purposes, these systems are also used for sanitation and drinking water purposes.

The biggest advantage of solar water pumps is that they can provide a reliable supply of water independent of any power source, which is one of the basic needs for everyone on this planet.
